Why Convert to Christianity?

Why would anyone want to convert to Christianity?

There are many religions and ways to spiritual enlightenment.

And, many religious traditions view Jesus as a prophet, or even as a god.

Islam views Jesus as the greatest prophet who performed more miracles than anyone else.

Hindus believe that Jesus was god. Of course, they believe everyone is god, but most don't realize their lofty position.

So, what is it about Christianity that makes it unique among all the other religions? What is it's special attraction to people throughout the world? And, why should you want to convert to Christianity?

Short Answer

The Apostle Peter preached to the first Gentile, Cornelius, about Jesus and how to be reconciled to God:

"And he [Jesus] commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one appointed by God to be judge of the living and the dead. To him all the prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name."

You , too, can have your misdeeds blotted out and be accepted by God.

I'm going to give 5 reasons for your to consider Christianity. These reasons are:

  • Teachings of Jesus
  • Death of Jesus
  • Resurrection of Jesus
  • Return, Judgment and Salvation
  • Disciples of Jesus

But, please note that when I describe Christianity, I am not referring to any particular Christian "religion" or denomination.

Religion, with its rituals, beliefs, and codes of conduct, is what separates Christians. One Christian denomination differs from another because of their different rituals, beliefs and codes of conduct.

The Christianity I describe consists of the simply truths and principles that Jesus and his disciples taught. What goes beyond that is religion--something added to the original simple Christianity by later generations.
